TFD Responds to Page Road Residential Fire
December 02, 2024
On Monday, Dec. 2, at approximately 7:09 a.m., the Tallahassee Fire Department (TFD) responded to a structure fire located on Page Road. Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy fire coming from a mobile home. Crews quickly pulled hose lines and began extinguishing the fire while protecting the surrounding area.
TFD personnel searched the structure and found no people inside the home. Unfortunately, two dogs were found deceased inside the structure. One person was transported to a local hospital due to smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. The Tallahassee Fire Department was assisted on scene by the Leon County Sheriff's Office, Leon County EMS, City of Tallahassee Utilities and Woodville Volunteer Fire Department.
TFD urges all residents to remain vigilant and proactive in fire prevention measures, including the installation of smoke alarms. Remember to check your smoke alarms to make sure they are in proper working condition, as smoke alarms can provide the early warning necessary to escape a deadly fire. A properly installed and maintained smoke alarm can alert you and your family to a fire 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Get tips and more fire safety information at Talgov.com/Fire.
